As we celebrate Marting Luther King Jr, let us also take a moment to celebrate the strong woman who stood behind him. Coretta Scott King, born April 27, 1927, was Martin’s wife and also a leader in the 1960s Civil Rights movement. In addition to fighting for civil rights, Coretta was an advocate for world peace and LGBT rights. Not to mention a style icon of mine. Here’s to you, Coretta!
